Feng Shui literally translates as wind and water. It has been developed, in particular in Tibet and China. The aim of “The Feng Shui Company” is to help translate this knowledge into the Western environment, converting and adapting the techniques to suit our culture and surroundings, whilst not compromising on the core values.
Chi
The aim of Feng Shui is to create a harmonious flow of energies (chi) that will have a positive influence on the whole of your life. Chi is the universal energy that gives life to everything that surrounds us. We’ve all had the experience of walking into a room where someone has just been arguing. We can’t quite put our finger on it, but the whole atmosphere is crackling with negative energy – this is chi. We’ve also walked into a room that is tidy, bright and full of sunshine and our spirits have immediately lifted and made us feel good – this is also chi, a positive energy.
Feng Shui helps us to create an environment where we feel good and happy, not bogged down with lots of clutter and negativity. If there is an area in your life that is not going so well, if you identify the corresponding area in your home you may well find that it is messy, cluttered and full of things that you don’t love or even worse have negative associations to.
